Service Manager 

The Service Manager is accountable to assist with the day-to-day operations of the restaurant including staff training, cost controls, administration and active floor management during service.


  • Inspire the team with focused vision and direction, managing all aspects of service
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members and senior management
  • Follow bar, beverage and wine control practices 
  • Provide general administrative support for the restaurant – may include payroll, new hire info and other as directed
  • Show leadership in creating a culture that revolves around prorviding exceptional guest experiences
  • Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote furthering education and refinement
  • Conduct recruitment and selection and training and development initiatives, as well as performance management and employee coaching – Partnering with Human Resources
  • Assist with the tracking of sales, invoicing, and managing inventory
  • Strive for maximum efficiency and continual improvement of staff productivity
  • Participate on the Health & Safety Committee, ensuring that the Occupational Health & Safety Act and WSIB procedures are being followed
  • Build relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Additional duties as assigned or required

What we are looking for....

  • Sommelier Certification (an asset)
  • Previous progressive management experience within comparable restaurant concepts
  • Experience in premiere dining environments 
  • Self starter, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast paced environment
  • Refined business acumen
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management and/or equivalent an asset
